Can anyone tell me if Milwaukee used any other color paint on their yard towers other than gray (boring)?
Andy- I cannot say wth all certainy. But the gray should have been a post-WWII change. Probably early-mid 1950's. I'd not be surprsied that there were some painted white with black trim. Or even orange with some maroon trim. I wonder if you could catch someone back there who is more oriented to the Milw as far as buildings? Maybe talk to John Dornfeld in Milwaukee, WI? Hey Ken, Thanks for the tip. Every picture I have found so far have been gray, some gray with white trim. The layouts progressing slowly, I have the grid work up for the first 8' of the 14' Portage yard. next the foam! Sorry no pictures, I'm using every bit of extra cash on trains and layout supplies.
And to think, I shot 1,200.00 on trains, instead of buying that digital cam corder. LOL Hmm.. So much for saving.
