For all you CSX painters out there...Along with the BNSF colors, Floquil has introduced the new YN3 or "Dark Future" as I heard it called all weekend, in our Polly Scale acrylic line. Part numbers are: YN3 Blue: F414393 and YN3 Gold: F414394. Both colors dry to a gloss finish so they are ready for decals. Mix 75% paint with 25% Polly S thinner or distilled water and spray at 16-18 PSI. Should be at your Floquil dealer by the end of July.
YN stands for "Yellow nose".... The YN2 scheme is the one most commonly associated with CSX that has the angled "hockey stick" on the side (also called "bright future" by CSX) .... YN3 refers to the newest scheme, with the darker blue body and darker yellow/almost gold nose and end color. YN1 refers to the oldest units that were either all grey or mostly grey and blue that had yellow slapped on both ends for visibility... Harold
