I don't even use the shopvac on dirt , but rather to find parts ! Mike PS always have a clean bag before heading to the train room. I have stock in Shop-Vac.
I walked by a construction site today and saw them staging a bunch of rigid foam insulation, and I thought, hey, maybe I can cadge some of their cast-offs and use them for scenery on my layout. That wouldn't be an N-scaler moment exactly, except that I also thought finding a small cast-off would give me enough space to put together a portable layout. That proved to me once and for all that I must be an N-scaler. Adam
When a trip to a house wares store leads to a great! find. Some time ago I posted how Rrrr was the only woman in a long time that paid more than lip service to my trains. Well, mix a natural female talent for shopping with an interest in N Scale trains and walk through a "Bed Bath and Beyond" store. 1) she finds the "Specials Rack" 2) I wonder off knowing better than to interefer 3) She comes up to me and askes: "What does this look like" I look at it, back at her, and just leaned over an kissed her. $10 (for both), right off the discount rack: In case you are wondering they _were_ spice racks.
Good Golly Miss Molly! I have been modeling in N scale five years before Metro Red was born. He must be one of the few youngsters in N scale. Now I really feel old!
Just ran across this today. While working with some 1X6 for a home project, I ended up with a scrap piece about 2' long. I decided not to toss it because I could make a timesaver or other micro layout with it. I have kept alot of scraps-just in case. Eric
395. When Kato announces some new "super" addition to the Unitrak line that will "knock your socks off," you have uncontrollable fantasies... which will likely remain unfulfilled.
