Yes. What I noted came straight from 49 CFR.... You can have passenger trains, but they cannot be carrying any passengers. Only train crew. There is nothing to stop any given railroad from restricting speeds further. So railroad XYZ could set their own maximum at five mph. Boxcab E50
Nice video. I like that sort of trackwork  I think I read somewhere that Guilford's speed limit on their Watertown Branch to the bakery was 3 mph.
That video reminds of the NYC’s Cairo line back in the late60’s n 70’s. I was sure glad I didn’t have to be on those trains.
I know a guy who used to model that sort of thing by beating his track with a tack hammer, but even he couldn't approach that condition.
It was! He is going to do all right though lol. After that ride I dont think anything scares him. Speaking of modeling this, I started modeling in the 80's as a kid and I remember having to have the track "PERFECT" but I always loved branch lines and hte rickety look.I have seen more of this now and am just happy as heck that I will be able to pull this look off today. Models wobbling is more fun to watch than me grab my soda as it flings off the control stand :mtongue:
