I'm just curious how much can be done with O in a small space. Anyone have time to post a couple of photos of their small O layouts? Thank you!

I would suggest getting a trackplan book from Kalmbach or Lionel. They have many 4X8 plans and even show a wiring diagram for each. If this doesn't appeal to you, then either get that 4X8 piece of plywood or mark off such size with masking tape on the floor and put track together until you find something that pleases you. To get this on a small layout, you will either be using the older O27 track or newer O31 track. The numbers are the DIAMETER of the circle, not the radius. Good luck..

You can get a decent amount on that size layout base. I had several configurations in my youth, using O-27. With accessories, it was plenty to keep me very happy until I could gain more space.

I presume you are speaking of Scale, not tinplate, which if so would allow more possibilities, as track radius is not fixed.
