Yreka and Western will start steam operations this weekend, Memorial Day, and continue into October. Our own Ironhorseman will be running many of the excursions. I stopped by there today and we met personally for the first time. Bill gave me a tour of the shop and 1915 Baldwin 2-8-2 No. 19, which will do the steam honors as usual. Just happened to get a photo of Bill and the 19. It is always great to meet someone you only knew via the net, and Bill is truly a good guy like all Trainboarders. I used his procedure to upload this photo without even looking.

Thanks Jim for the wonderful picture and Bill you are a nice looking fella and I am extremely jealous of you. That is some steam engine and to think you operate it makes me green with envy. What I wouldn't give to see it up close and personal but with my handicap I am sure I couldn't get on board this slice of heaven.
When the wife and I stopped by the HO rail layout in Yreka a couple of years ago, I saw this N gauge Yreka Western box car. My wife baught it for me. It is dark blue with a white circle and a goose flying in the circle. MY camara went to heaven so I can't take any pictures. Fitz. that is a great photo. Bill. Nice to meet you

Thanks guys n gals .. she will look even better tomorrow afternoon, (Thursday the 23rd). I'm going over to the railroad and give her running gear a good steam cleaning. Barbara .. We have put handicapped people up in the cab before. It takes a little doin .. but if you are willing to have a little "man-handling" we'll get you up there for a ride! If I recall you stated that you wear a leg brace. If you can lock it on each step while we boost ya up there (and then later, down) the job can be done!
