Welcome to the group. We'd really need to know what locomotive you're having problems with: manufacturer and model, to be much help. The answer to other questions like: has it ever worked for you? and how are you powering it? would be helpful. From your post all I can say is that it sounds like it's dirty. Mark
We need more information like is the track clean, when was the last time you oil and clean the engine, and what track are you using.
