There is a problem with the headphone jack method, that the $30 Peco turntable solves... and that is auto polarity switching when the turntable rotates 180 degrees. Almost all the finished product turntables and kits available today have wipers on the bridge, and PC board traces in the pit to power the bridge rails. By splitting 2 traces, with a small dead done 180º apposed, the pit traces can be wired to automatically switch rail polarity to prevent a short when turning the bridge 180º. Just pointing that out.
Peco N worked well for me. Just had to add the z scale rails. Easy to wire in as a reverse loop with Atlas switch. Bruce
That's why I love this board. I'd have torn out what little hair I have left not understanding why my engine would reverse direction after spinning the TT....
