Here's a couple more. I had to retouch this photo for the Trainboard Family Rating. This business was created by Lionel so nobody would have to be caught up the creek without a paddle: Here is another of Lionel's creations, an Antique Store: Here is Loren's Z Train Things Tree Display: Kim and Jeff looking at samples from a new CNC mill that the original was Laser Scanned from. The guy on the right, Kermit Paul, did a clinic on preparing artwork for laser cutting a few years ago, and after attending I was convinced I needed to purchase a Laser Engraver. Well now he is convincing BAZ BoyZ to purchase a laser scanner and mill! Lajos and I went right on over to get details, and we both want this setup badly! It is very capable of milling out Z Scale automobile masters for resin casting, and doing a good job of it:
There is one thing for sure, Lionel has a great sence of humor. LOL keep the pictures coming, and the rest of gang, keep up the great work. Kim, the movies were excellent. Loren, eating lot of food = free gas
All photos and videos posted are compliments of Matt Petach of the BAZ BoyZ. From the rest of us Z-scaler's, thanks for gettin' us out there in the mainstream!!:teeth: The more you guy's make effort's like this, the more we all benefit with more recognition and a better range of products! Again, thank you!
Don, the first post of this thread http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=89044shows the NP Geeps. MLT First GP-9 release
That is the one that Joe posted. I was hoping someone had taken views in San Jose on someone's layout. ...don
as i look at joe's post of the NP locos, it seems MTL has remade the trucks too. older GPs had boxy journal boxes, instead of the round roller bearing type. am i seeing it wrong? or are the journal boxes on the GP9 of the older type? dave f.
FannoCreek!!! ------------------------- LOREN --------------------------- When might we see a website with Fannocreek product photos on it??? Thanks! Hobo Tim p.s. I sent an email to fannocreek@hotmail.com and it came back non-deliverable. Any idea what they have for future releases????
Loren is handling all the distribution. He can tell you "what" and "when". Jason/FannoCreek is alive and kicking but he uses another email address. ...don
Clearly, the email address is on all of Fanno Creek packaging!!! Email fannocreek@hotmail.com is what it says!!!! Someone needs to do some fast reprinting!!!! LOREN!!!!!!!!!!!! Hobo Tim
True, and that does work SOMETIMES - BUT Jason is chasing alligators and at the moment it does not work. Jingle Loren at ljsnyder@charter.net.
Randy and John, In all honesty, I'm not holding out on anyone. It is difficult to get a new line up and running and I am only the front man for Jason who is actually the manufacturer of Fannocreek products. Getting Jason motivated and fired up to do all he is capable of doing is the hard part. Like anyone else who produces any sort of Z scale product, most are made by those who work full time elsewhere and the products we make are manufactured "after hours", and we all know how tired we are after coming home from the grind factory. There are now three lasers on the West coast, one is smoking quite a bit lately, and two others are owned by family men who can't make all that we would easily devour. I myself want to get a laser and jump in, but it is not possible at this time. Remember, we are in the diaper stage of Z still, yet we have an adult appetite for all good things in Z scale. I'm sure Jason will produce as much as fast as he can, and I can only encourage him. Be patient, and good things will come in time. Impatient myself, Loren Sales rep for Fannocreek, (at the moment)
Hey Hobo Tim, This is Jason, I'm the guy working with Loren. Just to let you know the e-mail does work and I am using the account but I can verify that I have not received your e-mail. I clicked on the "hotlink" provided by Trainboard in your post and it worked just fine. I'm not sure what the issue is, I did a couple of tests and all seemed well, have you had any problems with your service provider lately? Regardless, sorry for the inconvenience. Currently there is no website, when time becomes available hopefully we can put something together. Unfortunately all the buildings shown in the picture are not really “kits”, just stuff I cut on the laser for personal use. Currently we only have the Shallow Rib Woodchip Hoppers in SP or Golden West livery. Loren and I are certainly working on new ideas and we’ll release a structure soon (probably wishful thinking on the soon part). Anyway feel free to contact either Loren or I if you have questions. Jason
