I bought 2 of them. If Bill Hoshiko can do it as a beta tester, then I can give it a go too! I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and do 2 at once! :D

Yes, those paint schemes are pretty cool! Too bad the model was not an NW2 so NP could be represented. :D

I was looking at drawings of an NW2 the other day and it looked like the chassis was pretty close to the SW-1. I wonder if he could do a different etching with the longer NW2 hood on the same chassis modification as the SW-1.

Hi Randy, I was contemplating modifying one into an NW2 myself, as the NP had no SW-1's but the did have NW2's.

The easiest way I can see to deal with visual differences is, take that funny toolbox looking thing off the front, and add a strip of sheet brass to extend the shell to where that toolbox thing was. That would require a cut in the shell just in front of the exhaust stack panel.

Next we would have to add another exhaust stack on that extension, then cut down the front railing just behind the stanchion a bit so the length is the same on the front and back sides of the stanchion.

It might be a bit of work, but while the shell is still flat it might be do-able.

Since I got mine, I have had 4 days off work, and every one of them was spent filling covered hopper orders. I can see light at the end of the tunnel though, as I am down to the last 4 orders to fill, but one of them is 18 cars, one is 15, a 5 car, and a 3 car order. Only 18 cars are ready to run orders, which I'm not taking any more of for a while. I only earn about 50 cents an hour for the RTR cars.
