    John I love hearing that. This is my favorite issue to produce. It really shows off what is happening in the Z scale world. Plus the variety of photos and layouts we can share is incredible! There are a lot of folks doing great work out there!

    One more poignant facts of this issue is the work of Steve Van Till is featured prominently in the issue. Steve created many of the large industries and buildings on Ed Turner's modules. Steve's passing is a real loss for the scale.

    Steve is a incredible modeler. I was lucky to have him build my Tropicana distribution center. What Steve did for me and Ed was to make the building the correct scale rather then compress it. The grain elevator is the correct size, and you can't find a structure more detail in HO. They would leave off details to make it smaller. It's something we don't have to. I hope we are moving away from small layout to ones that are the correct size.
