Joe, If you think we believe you for one minute, then we know you are about to switch to G scale.....)
G scale yes, of course...it has been in front of me all this time! Heck I am so addicted to Z at this point I am seriously...I mean seriously thinking of getting a cab forward. Sure it would put me out of buying anything for a year but I look at that little butie and think I want one. heck if I had won this one, who knows...maybe I'd go modern on everyone!
Hey! My home town! Congratulations Dominique! I already have one. If I had won, this would be going to Gerd in Australia for a repaint.
Thank you for the kind commentZ guyZ! And thank you also to MTL and John C. who allowed this lottery! Indeed this BNSF loco will be perfectly at home on my free-lance western branchline (currently under construction), as it takes geographically place in a remote area between CA and NV (In my own world this line links Cadiz Junction CA, to Reno NV, beeing initially built jointly by AT&SF and SP in order to allow trains between Bay Area and USA southeast to bypass the busy Los Angeles - Cajon - Tehachapi area. It failed to fulfill that purpose but still exists as a branch serving a few remote towns and industries). So this loco will be well suited in a lashup already consisting of a pair of BN and an ATSF sample, my era beeing ~1996 just after BN / ATSF merger. Dom
Finally the loco arrived today in my mailbox! It is in nice condition and runs fine! Thank you again Micro-Trains and John C.!
Dom, Congratulations! I love the photo of your lashup. I had to laugh since just the other day, a photo was posted on Railpictures.net shows a similar lashup of GP38s. See below. - Rob http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=296556&nseq=15
