I think we've previously seen this one dollar item: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-TRAI...ORK-CABOOSE-/151815747460?hash=item2358ec7784
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-LIO...s-Or-Repair-/381405942439?hash=item58cd90d2a7 Did we do this one before? One Hour and change left...cab roof overhang rolled under, nothing salvageable...sell your trash, don't throw it away!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/O-SCALE-LIO...NS-GRAFFITI-/321869790024?hash=item4af0ef3b48 The killer of Lionel is back, this time at 150 plus shipping! No bidding, just a BIN!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-train-sets-Accessories-C-5-Good-/221891812661?hash=item33a9c85d35 All MPC, looks like. Nothing to buy, certainly not $1950 worth. 60-75 delivered, unknown condition? Opinion. Dave
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Pre...ne-Dump-Car-/221891250312?hash=item33a9bfc888 NOT $469 worth. Sorry. I see a crossbucks, no mast. I see a searchlight tower no lens. NOT pre-war, not even close. One of the dump cars is hurt, I see an end railing separate, dump side laying full open. Both scratched to snot. I see the insulator from one separate. RCS/UCS and crossing track badly rusted. Caboose chipping paint or add-on paint splatter. Searchlight car is filthy. Engine is rusty. As-is, offer (if I was in a need), sixty bucks. Opinion. Dave
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-TRAI...0-ONLY-NICE-/400995287590?hash=item5d5d2e8226 Our favourite seller from Arid-zone-A has re-listed this pile, still with all the corrosion (battery?) as "all original". BIN $449, no option for offers, and ya know, "original"ly they has stripes down the sides..oh, and no corrosion. PASS! Opinion, again. Dave
Someone must have bought from this seller in the past. Thus encouraging them to keep offering such "stuff".
I see two or three items from the mid to late sixties. The rest is later. Condition as noted makes such a price request clearly impossible, wherever that wild number originated.
Cute the way the suggestion is there, and CYA'd with a question mark. No way this is worth close to one hundred bucks. Much less.
Steal of a deal! Three rusty pieces of O-27 track for only six bucks! Wow. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRACK-3-pcs...track-train-/221897289417?hash=item33aa1beec9
Back when I bought and sold a lot of Lionel...the usual process was to throw track and pack in for free just to get rid of them.
I can remember being offered many large boxes of clean stuff for just a couple of dollars- and much less..... The only stuff which ever seemed to actually sell was complete circles of O-72.
Ummm. Missing items. I'm thinking this is about $225.00 too much, at least. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-Train-Set-No-114506-/181889172384?hash=item2a597083a0
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-POST...ER-CAR-ONLY-/141789217069?hash=item21034bc12d WTH? Sure, 3409 with no chopper. Not a bad price at less than a buck. Has the launch mechanism. Fixed couplers. Look at the last photo. Blue flat, underneath shot....now it's not only missing the mechanism, but miraculously the holes are filled and blue...and it has operating couplers.... You can buy a repro copter for twenty bucks..plus shipping..so the ninety-nine cents, plus shipping from Bohemia, add the copter and shipping...you could buy a complete one cheaper. Opinion and observation. Dave Here's one complete in the box for BIN 50: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-Post...ar-With-Box-/181876488818?hash=item2a58aefa72
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Large-lot-o...restles-etc-/262056100608?hash=item3d03c2c300 Last time I saw that much rust in one place was an early 70's Chevrolet pickup. Thirty bucks plus shipping so you can throw it away.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-POST...M-1956-ONLY-/321869718894?hash=item4af0ee256e Did we do this one before? Maybe a re-listing as he couldn't find any suckers. $3500 plus shipping...and it just doesn't look right. Not even any box rash...and look at the lettering and numbers. Looks like a repaint and someone hand-did the numbers and couldn't stay between the lines. Pantograph insulators not even down in the holes. Crap under the paint on the roof, no paint on the bottom under edge of the shell at both ends...... Could be legit..except the "rare" green one goes for about a grand less at the highest priced sellers out there: http://www.postwarlionel.com/cgi-bin/postwar?ITEM=2360 Opinion only. Dave Same engine, same year, used, BIN of 800. Look at the lettering and compare: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONEL-POST...7-01245725T-/201410193150?hash=item2ee4fba6fe
