There is one N ten wheeler for sale. Note that the tender is the CORRECT height... Drawback: The flanges are too big, and it ain't cheap! :we-twitcy:
I'd love a Bombardier... ...cab car (and coaches) to go with a U34CH!!!!! (To satisfy my NJ DOT fix, having been a customer). Heck- a U30 release from Kato would be welcomed- hey Kato- take the mold out and make one- just one- for me, F/P READING. What we really need are electric locos- Gs, Joes, commuter electrics- juice jacks, E-44s. Give me Juice Jacks or give me... ..the rest! Oh yeah- a Camelback 'd be fab! Mark
Except the RDG U30Cs were in late U28C bodies and the radiator section isn't close. A C30-7 would be differently bad. And the olde Minitrix U28C isn't right either, although splicing the radiator section is halfway there. The top should be level with a U25 clerestory between the top vents, the side kickout should be confined to the intake grille... oh, yeah, there was a longer walkway kickup behind the fireman's side (2 boxes). About halfway there in my mods for a resin master. (and they didn't have GSC trucks, they had Adirondack trucks...) Bob in IDaho, who repeats: iffen you want it, make it.
This what I like to see made. GE C40-8 and CW40-8, come on Atlas you know you want to make them. GE AC60CW, EMD MP15AC and MP15T, EMD SW1500, EMD GP38-2 mid phase with nose headlight, EMD GP39 and GP39-2, EMD SD70MAC T1, this are the ones with the flare radiator that CSX and Alaska got, GE ES44AC and DC, EMD SD70ACE and M-2, And some more EMD SD40-2 with nose headlight like CSX has.
Most needed: SW1500 GP15-1 SD40-2 - more versions and availability C30-7 in various configurations C40-8W
In my opinion I would like to see a well running Alco S1-S4 Switcher, a SW1 would be great. and off topic get me an outside braced B/W caboose
How about a CF7 in N Scale? I see them in HO but nothing offered in N Scale. Several roads are using them in fact there is at least one where this is there only model engine. They have at minimum 10 loco's.
After reading through all the posts on this thread there seems to be a great desire to see modern ten wheelers and Alco S2 or S4's. Amazing that these two locomotives have been left undone! Mfg's are you reading this. Can you say $$$Cha-Ching$$$!!! One other thing. As wonderful as Kato's 2-8-2 is, it doesn't look anything like this: Neither does MP's version. I would like to see more variety in the Mikado offering (or as we call them on the Central, the MacArthur) Also would love to see an HH660 and a K27
