Rock Island

The Athearn GP38-2's in this pic were purchased and custom painted back in 1985. The SW1500 is a prepainted Athearn unit. The GP38-2 on the left waits for the DCC upgrade while the SW1500 has DCC and waits for its next assignment. The two geeps on the right are ready to depart with a E/B coal train. The GP7 in the diesel house is in for routine maintenance. That unit has DCC and sound. Sound units are great, the cost prohibits any further sound installs in my older Athearn units at this time.
