I used to really enjoy railfanning NS trains both times I live in NC. I used to watch the trains run down the median of US 70 in Morehead City on it's way to the ports....cool stuff. And of course the NS and CSX trains when I lived in Charlotte.

All the DASH-9 a/c boxes, Warbonnet-H1-H2, are interchangeable, therefore, they almost never match!LOL!
Yep, I think I have seen that two! The best is when you see a "painted" panel on a primer unit! Harold
yep, I bought a kato dash-9 in standard NS scheme. custom painter then primed the prime mover portion of the long hood (try saying that 3 times fast!!!) very cool, I even have a snapshot the guy sent of the original. guess it was a fire in the hole!!
Sounds like a cool model ednsfan. Another cool catch is when you see a loco that has some hood doors from another unit or just replaced out of order.
