Hey guys, I was at the local Wally World looking in the Xmas isles, and came across this grass looking stuff. It was rolled up and was right around $2.00. Could make some great grass in any scale I suppose. The backing is a thin plastic which seems that it could be cut up into pieces.
Just thought I'd let everyone know, since it's probably only around during this time of the year.

Anyhow, here is a few pictures.

    Scale rule on top:

Wow, that looks pretty good! Probably a little too green for my purposes to use as grass, but I'm thinking it might make good ferns for flowerbeds and so forth.

    Hi Mike,

You better go back and buy all you can. That way you can sell it to us smucks who's Super Wal-Mart does not carry it. I just make a special trip to the NEW Super Wal-Mart in our town in the middle nowhere KY. The closest I came to finding any was a green felt tree skirt. I even looked in the crafts section as a last resort.

I may have my wife look for it in another town when she goes shopping later this week.

    Happy shopping,

    Gary

The first Super Wal Mart I saw were I used to live didn't have anything more than the old one did. Just a whole lot more of it. Instead of 10 of an item there was 30. :tb-wacky:

I wonder if that couldn't be toned down. Like with a wash.

Looks promising. I'd be interested in viewing how people might use this product!

How was it packaged? Does the green show, so it can be spotted quickly?

It doesn't stand out, thats for sure. In the WalMart here it was rolled up and bagged vertically in plastic with writing on the top and bottom and clear in the middle IIRC.
It wasn't but about 2" to 2.5" wide. I walked right past it but my girlfriend was looking at something next to it and spotted it. Next time I'm there, I'll take a pic on my cellphone and upload it here so you guys know what to look for :tb-wink:

Nice find, I need some of that.

Lately I've been on "tree alert" but haven't found any.

I checked last night at one of two Wally Worlds I go to normally and couldn't find any. I was going there to buy Christmas decorations anyway so I was in the right area. I'm assuming it is in the "village" area but I pretty much blanketed the department looking for other stuff and never saw anything. Also did a drive-by through the craft section and no joy there either. (and very little comfort either...hehe)

Get a stock number and then you can phone in and find the nearest store with that product. They do have the inventory control system in the world, use it!

I took a look at my local store.. no luck. Do you have a brand name, or something we could look up?

What city in South Central Kentucky? I may know the place since I lived there for most of my life in Central Kentucky before moving to the corny-frozen tundra of Iowa.

Three Walmart's in South Florida don't have the product' I'll try in Frisco Texas when I'm there next week.

One can always use Faux Fur and accomplish the same result. You spray the Faux Fur any color you want.
