    Doug-

PSG beat me to it by the time I got down to the bottom of the thread. Airbrush it any one or two colors you want.

If material right, even a short soak in a diluted color wash might do it.

doesn't faux fur end up looking kind of fuzzy though?

I like the look of the defined strands in the walmart stuff.. It reminds me of static grass.

You just cut it to size, color it and brush it out.

Ok guys, went back to WallyWorld. They were out of it. BUT, this is where to find it if you can. It's located in the Xmas stuff, with all the miniature houses and people and things. It was located right next to a roll of red brick roadway called PVC road. I hope they get more of it in, I'll buy a bunch.

for all those needing a picture... BEHOLD!

its on the shelf in a little green box right with the village stuff. I found it at the super wallmart in Huber Heights Ohio. Grabbed the last 4 they had. And for $2 a pop, its small. Certainly good to cut up for smaller areas though.

I had them pull this last one from a display; they sold it to me for a dollar. BTW, the sales rep I spoke with knew exactly what I was talking about and that the item was sold out. She said she would sell me this one piece from the Santa display if I wanted it. It is 6 x 20 inches (20 x 50 cm) and has a plastic backing. The "grass" is not as tall as I thought, but it will be a good addition to the scenery portfolio. It is a very good price, too.

I was out at the regular wallmart in Beavercreek Ohio last night and the christmas stuff was pretty bare. Guess we'll have to wait till next year to get our hands on more. :(

Can't beat Wally's price! If it was made specifically for us train nuts it would be $40 though!!!!
I also found (Well my wife did actually) some cheap flickering candle tea light candles. They were about $1 each. Great for burning building or camp fire. Good price!
I'll try to post a pic later.
