Thats an Overland I have had for a couple years now. If I was back to work I would have ordered some of the Intermountain SD45-2's.
I thought he was waving at the train, but I guess he is just being friendly with a visiter to the scenic overlook.
Drooling Sea Level? LOL Haw, haw, haw, haw said with a big grin! You never know, my drooling could be the straw that broke the camels back and flood the Salton Sea, all over again. Naw, I don't think so. I'm in AWE. Your layout is awesome! I had to go out and run some of my cheap-o Kato's so I wouldn't feel so jealous. Have fun!
This is the first time I've seen this thread. Wow, what an incredible job you've done! I guess I'm most impressed with the fact that you can write posts, upload photos, and still work on your layout at the same time. I'm envious! It's true what others have said--you seem to have a natural talent for scenery.
Another thing I did today is something I have been wanting to do for awhile. I painted all the rail joiners. Made a big difference!
Jerry, the scene looks fantastic, and the rack train was real impressive (man thats a lot of racks!!) my best, Jan
Still drooling. You might want to put Pinole on a flood watch. Must check the drool. Grin! Jerry, I'm just about as impressed and envious as I know how to be. Nice work. Keep the reports coming.
Jerry Looks great. You need to come down to El Paso and ballast my right of way. I should be ready for you in May.
Naw Jerry, you don't need to travel, you need to get Franklin Canyon ready to video 199 and 991 :tb-cool: I love those super fleet warbonnets. It's good to see you are getting around some. I too have found that just running trains is as much fun (or more) than doing scenery or bench work.
