You have a very good point there!!! For an ATSF Layout, there is an aweful lot of SP finished first! I can't wait to see how Glen Frazer turns out.
Hey Jerry well every one knows SP likes to take the scenic route & ATSF is we dont care how pretty our route is just get it there fast.
Well today after Therapy I thought I would get some benchwork done, but no go. Still need a little more time of rehab. (Sigh)
You mean it didn't?!? Awe man now I have to change the theme of my layout. :tb-wacky::tb-wink::tb-cool:
Jerry: This wonderful thread just turned one year old this week and is still growing!!! :cake: Happy Birthday!
Jerry; As the new guy, I'm catching up. I'm not reading all the posts, but I'm scanning the photos you've put up over the past year. I'm not familiar with this locomotive. What prototype is it?
That is a Kato built ConCor U50 model, detailed and re-lettered/re-numbered. I won it on EBay. It is very heavy, and a real beast of a puller. A little noisey by todays standards, but I am sure the real ones roared too.
Jerry, Having just gone back and re-read your 'SP U50' post from January 2007, I would say that's a bit of an understatement :tb-wink:
By that do you mean that he won it on eBay before it was re-lettered and re-numbered? It's an awesome looking loc, that's for sure.
Still nothing new to report yet. I have been running trains on the SP section, and really looking at how I want the Franklin Canyon area. I may have it hang over the SP and WP sections a little more near Tunnel #3 so I can get more in there.
Big time! Jerry sure did get the ground cover and waves looking really good. I love the way he added the smoke to it.
