    Wow!

That's a lot of new stuff.

Rob, any chance the new run of SD70's may include CSX?

    Joe,

I don't think we will see the CSX in the new run. They are planned, but we have a few other roadnames in front of the CSX.

That's fantastic news Rob! Last Year on the ZMOD Show in Oslo, Hans mentioned something to me regarding the new Brass Steam Engines. Please count me for one each!

Very nice ! If you make those dates, there will be a LOT of AZL running at the NTS in July !!!

I'd love one of the Challengers as I prefer steam that is pointed in the right direction :) Will this be with both drivers driven or only the one set, as the AC12 is?

    Count me in for:
    ATSF GP7
60' Gundersons (any road will be fine, need LONG cars on our big radius modules)
Same with the centerflow hoppers, see them all over out west.
At least 3, likely 5 of of the Autoracks, depending on price :)

And finally, nice to know I'll be getting an Easter present or pre-Father's Day present with my 12 car SP passenger set. Whooohoooo !! Articulated cars !!!

I have one correction to the press release. The Thralls will be die-cast metal bodies, not injection.

Interesting that they would come out with the GP7 in NP when MTL already did. There was a heck of alot of other roads that ran 'em too! GN for one..... Whoever comes out with one in GN first, i'm buy'in couple!:teeth:

    Kurt,

Sorry, not the Northern Pacific. The NPR GP7 is for the Nickel Plate Railroad. This will be an all new roadname for Z scale locomotive power!

Looks like you have some great conversion fodder there! My Razor saw is calling out for those Funnel Flow Tank Cars...lots of possiblities there.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but do you have the price for the Passenger Cars yet? Also, do you have to buy the whole set or will individual cars be available? I'd like to get some of the Articulateds but doubt I can swing a whole set of cars right now.

    Empty Heads await enlightenment :O)

    Great list of new cars!

    Cheers

    AZL kicking booty big time

Wow , came home all tired and beat from working The Auto Show now in Chicago, read about the forthcoming new stuff, and got revived instantly, so much so that I could go right now and work 2 more shifts back to back.

Tremendous, Z scale is busting its drawers with explosive growth.
Happy as a sissy in a CC camp. What an accomplishment.

    That NKP will be sweet!

Have there been any improvements in this newer run of GP7's?

    Joe, Chris,

The SP cars will only be available as sets. I don't believe AZL will be offering any of the cars as individuals. I won't have pricing until right before time of release. Sorry!

I am hoping the next run of GP7 will have the upgraded chassis. I won't know for sure until I receive the units. I have a friend who is a huge NKP fan. He is SO excited for this locomotive. It is a neat one. This is one think I have to applaud AZL and MTL for. I like seeing the new roadnames come on the market.

    rob,
i'm curious to know about reserving some of the upcoming items -- the 60' box cars in particular. do we wait until they're announced and the various dealers list them, or is there a way to reserve a set now. the double plug door 60' boxcar is a modern
"standard;" we see alot of them and people will want a lot of them.
    thanks,
    dave f.

    Dave,

We are not taking orders at this time. Once I have pricing and product numbers, I will start taking orders. As with past releases, these cars will be available direct to Ztrack Magazine subscribers as well as AZL's dealer network. All orders are filled on a first come basis. I will be making announcements on the forums and in Ztrack when the cars are available to order. I agree with you. It think these are going to be popular cars!

    Rob,
It is getting harder to pre release prices since we do not always know the exact price before the products are shipped. Asian manufacturerers have been burned badly by the decline of the U.S. dollar and are less reluctant to fix prices months ahead of delivery.

I have been waiting for more than a year for the NKP. My caboose is ready and waiting. While I have been waiting my caboose has been out in the weather.
