I don't have the tool you are talking about, so I will do it the old fashioned way, a number 11 blade and 12 inch scale. Will use a cutoff disc to notch the pieces at the mating surface. There is no major details for the cross braces so it will be an easy project maybe a hour or two.

Got the first diagonal brace done last night with eight more to go. The 0.125 inch styrene fits great, it's a bit smaller than the diagonal brace on the main span bridge but doesn't show 18 inches away. In the middle of each brace element I used a cutoff disc to notch so the sides wil,l be even

Below is a photo of the top of the main span bridge and the diagonal brace. Will post another photo when I get the others complete. It will be tomorrow morning before I can work on them, the screw that holds the cutoff disc is striped or the threads in the mandrel. All the screw wants to do is turn around and around no tighten.

Thank you for your suggestion!!! I will add gussets to the diagonal braces to cover the gaps that's showing. It will be a nice addition to the main span bridge.

Your help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

I just finished the diagonal braces needed for the main span bridge. Now have everything ready to cut the main span bridge from two tracks to a single track bridge. Will do that as soon as the other bridges visit our home, haven't ordered yet but it will be no longer than a couple of weeks.

Glad to help. You might find some more ideas for bridges on this album: scratch built thru truss and bashed Kato thru-trusses for deck truss approach bridging: https://www.nscale.net/forums/album.php?albumid=1138

Tonight I cut and installed the gussets for the diagonal braces needed for the main span bridge. Only took about a half hour to do but three days to do it. Ha

On Friday I installed roadbed on module 05 for the approaches to the Arkansas River bridge. Will install the track when I get all of the bridges. Hope to order the other two bridges in the next couple of weeks.

I have some bad news, Cynthia fell yesterday morning hitting the back of her head on a cabinet edge. She is in the hospital and has slight bleeding to the brain. They have her on a ventilator, along with two other tubes, a central line and has had four brain scans total. The neurosurgeon said she would be in the hospital for a week or two.

Thank you guys for your thoughts and prayers!!!

After a fourth brain scan Cynthia has stopped bleeding. That's great news. They are in the process of reducing the sedation to be able to remove the ventilator.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!!

Cynthia is breathing on her own, she is still on the ventilator but it is not assisting. They are reducing the sedation to prepare for removing the ventilator tomorrow afternoon. At least that's the plan. The ICU staff here is great. In the mean time she just sleeps and briefly wakes up every once in awhile and starts thrashing around but she is retained so she doesn't pull the ventilator out. Cynthia is a very strong willed person and I'm sure she will pull out of this.

Quite a lot of people are thinking and praying for her and I really appreciate your response. I can't say enough, Thank you very much.
