Hi all, Here are some photos I shot in the early 1980's. The actual prints are a lot sharper. I had to drop the DPI when I scanned them or the files would have been huge. Shot at Tunnel #1. Thanks.
Parkdale, Part 2 The rest of the train at Parkdale, plus some interesting transformer loads in Canon City.
Royal Gorge, Part 1 Shot from Tunnel Drive just west of Canon City at the east entrance to the Royal Gorge.
Rod, those are some great pictures! I especially like the far away shots, since this is how I see my N scale trains. Lots of good modeling material. Thanks for taking the time to post them up for all of us to see -Mike
Excellent!! I have been wanting to do the same thing with my old prints and slides for some time and you have inspired me to get back after it!
very nice pictures. My interest is modeling the Rio Grande primarily in the 1980's and I always love to see more pictures. Now I can buy those sweet Intermountain 60' red Santa Fe box cars since I have seen them in actual photo's now!
More! More! More! Simply 'Grande. Sure was a lot of auto business on Tennessee Pass in those days, eh?
1980's photos Thank you for all the kind comments. I have a whole photo album dedicated to D&RGW freight trains. I also have albums for the RGZ/Ski Train, D&RGW freight cars, D&RGW locomotives/cabooses, and D&RGW MOW. I will pick out some of the better photos and post more. Please understand that I was an inexperienced photographer and lots of the prints will not be of high quality. Thanks.
This might be true. However, you have some pictures, plus those precious memories, whereas many people have none. Boxcab E50
