Yeah, the NMRA is to model railroading what ESPN is to professional sports. A lot of people trust its word, but it's obviously biased towards its favorite teams.

You know, this kind of annoys me. ER did what very few manufacturers do, they front loaded a TON of anouncments in N along with HO when entering the field. The only other company that has done that recently was FVM and BLMA.

While many of you sing the praises of BLMA (and this is deserved), you blast ER even though they have introduced MORE tooling in about the same period of time in N scale. I don't get it. Just because they focus on HO does not mean they are forgetting us. They produce some really nice cars. While many of the cars and a lot of the paint schemes are not right for my era and location, I get what I can becasue they are very nicly made and run well.

I really hope they do their Waffle box in N. I would also like to see the FMC 4000 CF gondola and the Greenville 60' box. In any event. I really like my current cars and plan on getting more as money permits.

You, not wanting to get into a p*ssin match? Really?

So if you would actually read and absorb what I'm saying, we are pretty much in agreement. I no longer belong to the NMRA and I'm certainly not an NMRA "homer". (although, the divisional meetings are worthwhile in my region) The reason I referred to the NMRA was EXACTLY what you are saying....it's a worst case scenario for the numbers...skewed way far opposite my point. You figure that if you are using the most biased number around, it's probably not gonna be any worse in reality. So, nobody is gonna come from the NMRA and say "no, no...HO is only TWICE as big as N." But with my DIRECT, PERSONAL observation, it's gonna be hard for them to say, "HO is TEN times bigger than N." Get it?

I know, you love to argue just for arguments' sake, but come on...must we go through this every time?

Wowsers Doug. Slow day ? Ya dug up a 2 month old post to rehash and blast me with ? LOL. You should know me well enough by now to know when I am having a bad day and blowing off steam. Opppppppppss...does that make me a steamer guy ??? hmmmm. As most everyone else does...you should take most everything I say with a grain of salt. I mean no harm.

BTW...I dont like to 'argue'. Discuss and debate...yes. Argue...no

    :tb-tongue:

I wasn't "blasting you" and honestly didn't realize the thread was so old. I haven't actively checked this forum in a bit so I was just checking any threads I had participated in. I just don't understand that....even when we're obviously in agreeement or *at very least* not to far off the mark that you have to still make jabs. I get that you think I'm "ruining the hobby" by advocating higher quality models and by using Unitrack (although I'm still not quite sure why) but overall I just really enjoy model railroading and appreciate and learn from all forum participants. (mostly)

    Just relax...life is too short.
