Each one of my freight cars has its very own loco. Does that make me a locoholic? If so, mia culpa.

I'm definatly a loco-haulic, but not to the tune of 1 for every car. I could just imagine my wife's reaction to 900 locomotives in the house. I don't think that I can come up with that many excuses for new aquisitions (Honest dear, I locked those 2 SD40's away in the cabinet and when I opened it up later there was a new bouncing baby geep in there with them [IMG] ). I get enough of those long lingering looks through narrowed eyes as it is  .
Still, I think that it is an addiction that I will never break (I'm Terry, I'm a loco-haulic, and...and....and........oh what the hey, i'm going to my local pusher to get another one :D ).
    Cheers.

    Hi...my name's Chris...and I'm a locoholic

I must admit I have been keeping my 'problem' in check for the past, oh 25 years or so. I used to do only the big stuff, but when I moved south I had a hard time finding places to store my 'stash'. So I upgraded to just small 'hits'. Now I've confined myself to only the good stuff. No more of that B'man stuff they sell on the corners (well I HAVE been eyeing the new 2-8-0) but now my stuff is only the primo, non-cut, quality stuff. I use less that way to get my 'fix'. Plus I'm sticking to only one brand now, the ACL. All them pretty purple colors look good under the blacklight and lava lamp. ;)

So pass me another beer, I'm not as think as you drunk I am!

HELP!!!!! I am a trainaholic and stays up nights to hear the whistles blowing in the early morning hours and *Looks very guilty* I COUNT TRAIN CARS. I do that for every train that passes by. I look around the room here and I see trains on my entertainment center, a train calendar, a train clock that toots out the hour, trains on my monitor and in my screensaver, TRAIN BOARD MEMBER . AND I LOVE TRAINS. I DON'T WANT TO BE CURED! I DON'T WANT TO BE CURED, ETC.

    Do you:

Blow the horn in your car two longs, one short and one long at intersections?

    Name your cat "Chessie"?

Have more pictures of diesels and rare steam locomotives than your family?

Wear a black armband on the anniversary Alco got out of the locomotive business?

Have an overwhelming desire to paint your children's wagon in the paint scheme of your favorite railroad?

Hang out at bridges, tunnel entrances, junctions, interlockings, and with other people as well?

    Have a dog named "Frisco"?

Stop at railroad crossings even when there's not a train anywhere to be seen?

Refer to that trip to the men's room as "setting out a bad order"?

If you answered YES to two or more (heck, any of them) then YOU may be a locohaulic.

    But, there's help........

(Well, not really, but this throws the non-railfans off the scent :D )

I feel your pain.. I have the 2nd DSG and the Contemporary DSG in my library, also.

Seeing 'Tales From The Krug' kept me riveted to my chair seeing all the Warbonnets, Pumpkins, H2's, Cascade Greens, and Grungestains filling my 'puter screen....

Cthippo, you just about kept me in stitches reading that... Cheers!
    :D [IMG] [IMG] ;)
</font>[/QUOTE]I've seen the cats, cute...I was talking to his GF and suggested that since "warbonnet" (the cat) was orange that she get BNSF shaved into it's side...and maybe decaled numbers on it's Jaw.....lol oK SO i WENT A LITTLE OVERBOARD, THATS WHY i'M JOING THE GROUP

    Hi. I'm Jackson and I'm a steam-aholic.

House was broken into several weeks ago. Called police and they verified no prowlers, so we went in and started looking for missing items. Trains were all ok. Son had given me one of those "train noise" clocks last Christmas. It's not the kind that'll hush at night so wife said clock can live on the back porch. Anyway, two police officers walked onto back porch at the top of the hour. Dang near blew my clock away when it went off!

I don't feel so guilty about thinking about shaving down our white cat's fur (she's a Turkish Angora) and painting "KCS" in red letters on her sides, and then painting her claws black & white. I made this wonderful suggestion to the missus, and after she finished ranting at me (something about "over her dead body" and a gruesome reference to bobbetization), I decided not to.

We do have a gray cat........wonder if I could do that to him.........paint his whiskers yellow, too......... :D :D :D
