    Welcome to TrainBoard!

Sounds like you may be close to the action. Any chance you could post a photo, or two, of this new paint?

    :D

The 1501 will be out and around real soon. There are a few more odds and ends to finish up. Once the engine is out in public, I will post some photos.

    Thanks for the welcome guys

I can shed a little bit of info on some of the ex-VanWharves units and operations as I used to work for the company. If I'm remembering correctly we bought these re-manufactured from Montreal (GEC-Alstom?) - very nice units but never ended up being fully utilized due to operational restructuring of the rail operations. They've been sitting pretty idle for the last few years.

Spiffffy! :shade: I'd love to model a MET loco or 2. Heck, I might even base my new planned layout on the MET. The only problem is that a road with 70 tonners and SW1500s is sort of difficult to model in N, seeing as there are no really good SW1500s and no 70 tonners at all :embarassed: Once my current 70 tonner scratchbuild is at the paint stage (at the current progress rate, that will be never ), it will be either MET or SP. If I cast it, I'll make some of each :p

    Nice re-paint

They did a good job on the re-paint; just adding some details and deleting the Vancouver Wharves. Always thought the red and white was very sharp.
