From This..... To This..... To hopefully something like this when I am done..... Have one more silo to build...then the rest of it....
Nah Mike... I got the child medicine oral shyringes from the local pharmacy (new/unused). The other 'parts' are from my Diabetes syringes (new/unused). My heart meds are all pills...cant use them on the layout...lol. My youngest son is head mechanic at a cement plant in the Phoenix area. Thus I need to make a batch plant. ;-)
Thnxs... I have a lot of crazy plans in my head for a lot of things...lets see if I can let em all out...sooner or later...lol
Thanks Brian and RRunty. Yup the repairs of 4710 only made it to the front end. Brian, love that Conrail unit, great job on all the units!
Added fencing, set of stairs, bollards to dock and more sidewalk, plus the USCG emblem to the lighthouse complex. The NUMA building continues with the addition of a set of stairs and almost completing the dock.
I'm working on a Southern high hood SD45 with one of my 3D printed high hood kits. There is a very large train show in Asheville each fall, I think I might get a booth to sell some of my 3D printed kits and thought it would be a good idea to have a few completed demo models... Anyways, here's tonight's progress I made the SOU style sunshades by filing a BLMA sunshade down to about 6 scale inches and CAing a strip of construction paper to it. Hopefully I'll get the aluminum band masked and painted tomorrow night!
Roundhouse rear walls painted. Walls and rear roof temporarily set in place for pic. Next comes decals for windows, serious coat of glosscoat for sealing, followed by light coat of dullcoat. Robert
I am at the beginning of a kitbash project to make a 1300 series Amtrak baggage car from a Kato ATSF RPO: For those not familiar with the prototype:
Window decals added, rear roof removed, glare from bare styrene messed up pics and I have additional bracing to add to trusses before bonding rear walls in place. Robert
Thanks Flash, got a couple of areas to clean up and into a mold box they go. Robert, that roundhouse sure is coming along nicely!
I started work on NS 8352. It was involved in a wreck and received a few mismatch doors along with a new nose. It ran around on the NS system for quite awhile like this till it was finally painted sometime in 2011. View attachment 54219 View attachment 54220
I finished these two this week. Still have more in the pipeline, which never seems to stop... More of a fantasy job based on a compilation of a few EMD demo paint since, as far as I can tell, the GP40's never wore this type of paint scheme. Brian
