I really like the end result you was able to achieve. I think I will also be making some of my own scrap loads. Thanks for the boost!

If you look in the first photo you can see the chassis and box next to one of the cars. It is made by tomy tec. Found it on ebay with thanks to a member on nscale.org. $26.50 plus shipping from Japan. Plaza Japan is the name of the seller. The chassis is .060" narrower than the Bachmann car so after removing most of the floor I had to shim the inside of the car body. Now i'm looking for something to use for headlights.

Here's another 30 minute load. Toothpick Ties!!

3 layers of full toothpicks glued lengthwise, then 1 layer of tie length toothpicks glued sideways with the partial top layer on top of that:

And those 5 layers fit perfectly inside the Gon I have:

    Mark,

both loads are great. They might trigger some more load projects on various workbenches :)

I have been adding weights to the cheaper rolling stock I have.

Just finished this caboose. Made from a LL Center cupola caboose with an Atlas cupola that had to be widened a bit......

Really nice work, Mark. The loads are cheap and look realistic, and the weathering is perfect! An inspiration.

It's too much of a mess to show right now and if you have seen my previous pictures, I'm not shy about a messy workbench.

GS-4 in process of reinstalling a Tsunami after first one didn't make it past the 30 minute mark.

Trix 2-10-0 that I need to build a tender for to finish.

Just was given a box full of old Bachmann J parts that may get converted into a NW streamlined pacific and there was a trailing truck in there that may inspire me to get back to work on the EM-1.

In the middle of all this, I have to finish remodeling and adding a closet done in a room for my wifes office in the next two weeks.

I added some decals and started to put a base coat of grimy black on the building. Then plan to add some dirt and rust.

Building a big industry.. It's a loadout for refined minerals shipped in covered hoppers. The building itself is 40' wide by 60' long and 80' high. It swallows an entire Atlas Centerflow hopper.

This shows it taped up in it's location. The actual plant is off the layout...Next shot is on my workbench last night..

And this is the interior of the loader at track level. I just wanted something inside so I wasn't picky about how it'll look.

I'll post more as I get it done on my blog..

Went through my parts bin and decided to add some loads to some Red Caboose 42' flats. I'm not to sure about the NP Flat w/the lumber load I think it looks to toyish. What do you think.

Nice Nick! I would dump the lumber load on the NP, and go with a Hay Bros load tied down with some Berkshire EZ Line. :D
