This weekend was a small local exhibition. Test run for Altenbeken. Well visited and everything worked fine.
Steffen, I see that no one is wearing masks at your exhibition, so can you help clarify the situation at Altenbeken? I read on the ZFI site that they are going to be operating the "2G" rule - so that means you have to show a certificate proving Covid vaccination/recovery and masks are only optional - is there anything else that you have to do? Thanks, Carim
Hi Carim, it depends on local regulations. For Altenbeken you are right with 2G = certificate proving Covid vaccination/recovery. I think it is a good idea to have masks on hand for your own safety, because of high number of visitors at the event . Here in my town it is the decision of every shop owner to request wearing a mask. There are signs at the shop door to inform you. Please continue to check the ZFI website for further / changed informations.
Hi all, my father found a clip on youtube showing the whole exhibition, very interesting: There are some scenes from my layout too at around minute 48, showing my brother (at the throttle) and me with tooth pick on switching duties. Thank you for visiting this event and for all the nice talking with you.
Steffen, Thanks for posting the video! Your brother looks like he was taking his switching duties very seriously. I also spotted Pawel's modules @1.11.25, JMC's vehicles @1.14.09, and Hans's(AZL) layout @43.00. Scott
Scott, you are right. My brother was not a fan regarding switching before this event. But then he was playing all the 2 days along Now he plans such a theme for his next layout... It was a nice thing to see some work of other forum fellows. For me Pawels narrow gauge on T Track and harbor diorama were very impressive
Your layout has several of the structures I produced for Micro-Trains on it. I spot them real quick, and even ones that are heavily modified.
Hi Steffen, It was great to meet you and your brother and to see your fantastic layout in the flesh. You proved that one can do shunting in Z. DB got me to Berlin in the end - only cancelled my train once! Carim
Hi Carim, well, I am with you Regarding German railroading: Nothing to say anymore. Long time ago we were proud of a working system...
