Indeed I've still a few F-Units although I parted with most of mine, and I tried them again yesterday. And that's true, these need an enhancement if I want to get close to MTL's and AZL's latest gems.... So speaking of Glen's wheel wippers (that I've been unable to discover on Ztrack.com) I remember that I downloaded a full installation procedure description on internet a few years ago. Unfortunately I'm unable to recover it, so I'd like to find a link to download it again. Idea anyone? Dom
It would be nice of either AZL or MTL would make cabeese in the same style as Marklin does with the cappola at one end instead of in the middle. Yes I know there are kits available that one can use to convert Marklin cabeese to MTL couplers and wheels. Still it would be nice to see a ready made caboose in this style from one of those manufacturers.
After years of wishing, I finally got my F unit. Not a F7, but a F40. This thing has a chassis that I wish for all my engines. It runs smooth, and its great looking too. I finally have the proper power for my business cars.
Hi Domi, Thanks to archive.org you could find a backup of Glen's procedure here: http://replay.web.archive.org/20041208180342/http://home.comcast.net/~cheniā¦
Many thanks dear Bruno but the link seems not to be working....:tb-wink: Anyway I'm going to search further.... Dom
In order to see the site, I had to click on the link that said "Impatient?". For more information, I would try to contact Glen directly. There is an ad for his wheel wipers in every issue of Z Track Magazine, and there is also a classified ad under services. This is the Print Edition of the magazine, not the web site. Dan S.
Yes, this is correct Dan. It seems that the page needs some time to load and some browsers may not refresh the page automaticaly.
