    These are gonna be sweet!
I've been waiting for these since the Arnold's came out years ago and was hoping they were closer when the VO's were announced!
Unfortunately, I just finished with my VO-1000.

These are first test shots. There are still some things that need adjusting, like the handrail fit, the glazing mold needs polishing, and there are some running issues that need to be fine tuned.

The majority of the items in black in the photos are die cast, the gray items are plastic.

I am excited about this release...of course, I'll find a way to rationalize two of them in ATSF zebra stripes! (switching LAUPT or Barstow perhaps?)...I'm quite happy with the Atlas VO-1000s and the FM's as well.....I can't see any reason I wouldn't be just as happy with these MUCH desired units!
    Respectfully,
    Bruce

    Paul,

Any chance you will be doing some of these in Amtrak Phase I and/or Phase II paint?

And I hope as usual you do more than one road number at a time unlike those other guys making the S4.

The wheels seem to have a narrower tread and less deep flanges than I'm used to on Atlas locos--that would be nice if true!

Paul, an alternate rectangular exhaust stack would be nice for those roads that had it... like the ATSF. Or at least make the stack removable so we can replace it more easily?
    Thanks, Otto K.
