great job gerd. i especially like how you did the mu cable boxes on the front pilot. good fading too, what did you do to accomplish that? dave f.
That is one fine looking GP. I am still waiting for Nick to finish chopping the nose on one of my GP9's, so I understand all the work this project takes! Excellent job on those woodchip gons too!
Hi Dave, I found a quiet easy way: I use Polly Scale Flat Finish, one cote in normal concentration and after that multiple layer of thinned down Flat Finish. I would say ratio water to clear 3:1 . Try to spray in general relativly "dry" with some wet spots to "highlight" extrem fading.
Final After a long time this project is now finished. Not really, some LEDs are still missing and I'm thinking about DCC....
Gerd, the engine looks great. If you going to add all the SP lighting, dcc is the only way to go. I seen Jeff and Oli do it. It really adds to the realism of the engine.
Didn't they just weather the SP locos right in the paint shop? Is there such a thing as an unweathered SP unit? Wow, another outstanding loco. Good job! The GP20 was an interesting look. It really stands out. Rob
