MN 1984 Supposedly, this unit was originally GN #21, but the following photo shows #21 without flexicoil trucks and without numberboards on top of the hood: https://rr-fallenflags.org/gn/gn21ads.jpg OTOH, GN #12 does have flexicoil trucks and numberboards on top of the hood: https://rr-fallenflags.org/gn/gn0012dsa.jpg Then, again, here's a different photo of #153: https://rr-fallenflags.org/bn/bn153.jpg
Northern Plains Railroad leaves Kenmare, ND on the old Soo "Wheat Line" enroute back east to Lansford:
The pic with the MOW crane cars is interesting. Just wondering about the MOW vehicle partially shown on left- a trailer on a Fairmont speeder or like a flat bed pu truck with wheels to fit over the rails?
More than likely, it's just a simple trailer affair that would be attached to a speeder, something like this:
At Hudson OH, July 1976 when Conrail was an infant and Hardcoaler was a teenager. Former EL SD-45-2 CR 6656, later RBMN 3601.
This was the PRR's Hudson, OH station as seen the same day in July 1976 when I took the above photo. The fellow sitting on the bench is an employee. The color picture below was taken 09/1997. The station is gone today.
A brick operators bay is unusual for a wooden depot. The window in the front of the bay is also unique. There must have been a story here.
Another from Hudson, OH of an ore train, taken between the others on 07/12/1981. Classic CR, with PC and other legacy units still to be found. CR SD-40 6334 is former PRR 6081.
The Hudson OH depot in the PRR era: A fundraising effort was made to save the depot, but it fell short and the building was torn down about ten years ago.
Earlier today I was working on my train order collection and came upon an example copied by the D&H, (part of the Conrail situation), after they began operating through here.
