William is busy traveling this Holiday weekend, and asked me to start off this weeks SNFF. I know with RailImages down, it may be hard to post new stuff tonight, but with the quality of work seen here, I am sure noone would mind repeat photos. Hope everyone is having a great Holiday weekend!
Just some older prototype photos from me.taken earlyer in the spring.Hope these links work. CN Mile 30,Halton sub.near Milton Ont. The west bound International, leaving Kitchener Ont.
SNFF 7 4 04 Here's my shot for this week. Santa Fe GP30 number 1249 is kicking reefers on a hot July 4, 1968 day in Glendale, Arizona: Take care, all, Happy 4th of July!
I, too, have some oldies from my RailImages files. Some freight cars built from unusual kits: PRR 255428, H30, from an And-Kon or Camden & Amboy kit: MILW 21188, from a Puget Summit kit: PRR 732698, X23, from a Remington kit (with a lot of additional material): Guess y'all have figured out by now I like freight cars and locomotives!
Hmmm, seems like we've got a Santa Fe / SP / Rio Grande theme starting here (no offense Thirdrail!). . . nice work gents! Here's mine, some action at Walong siding, Tehachapi Loop, circa 1995 . The dispatcher has the Santa Fe 991 train holding the main while a hot westbound SP intermodal runs around the siding: Have a good week all Dave
Great work everyone! Gregg, that hopper is awesome! Love the hand written markings on it! Very prototypical.
Jerry, that image would prompt one to ask, is it the real thing, or a model? Very realistic! J.E. Winfield,III
Awesome photos people. Very nice. I have some trailers done a while back to share. Happy 4th to all!!!
Welcome to Trainboard J.E.! 100% N Scale models on a diarama, photographed outside. N Scale.....there is no subsitute.
I didn't get much railroading done this weekend. Maybe it's because we went car shopping and picked up this little used beauty. A 1999 Toyota 4Runner, with 60K miles. What a beauty. Should be able to go jus about anywhere I want railfanning in this baby. Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R.
