It was about 70 that day. Will be in the 80's today. Cartersville is a good railfan spot. That's all public parking in the foreground and there is more public parking on the other side of the tracks. There is also a bridge there that you can sit under so that you don't have to be in the sun when it gets hot out. CSX is single track at this point and there can be 50 to 60 trains a day through there. The only problem is that they seem to come through in groups so you can either be overwelmed with trains or hit long dead spots. Still a nice place to hang out
An AC6000! I sure would like CSX to send one of those up this way - I need more pics of them up here in Michigan. Thanks for posting - I better find some time to post some of the CSX stuff up here...
Tim, Would love to see some stuff from there. I don't see too many of the AC6000's so that made it a nice catch. Will be out some next week. Maybe I'll catch another one or two.
