Awesome stuff everytime! I had thought the 6600 class were just another batch of Gevo's; didn't know they had modded trucks and stuff. Were you going to turn the station signs? I thought they were put in for the crew's perspective. ?

    Thanks, Guys!

Nope, they're a whole different critter. And they must like them, they just ordered a couple hundred more. Not so hard to figure, an AC loco for the price of DC...be interesting to see what they're like in ten years, though.

Those signs are bugging me also. I'm tempted to go with two post two sided. Not really sure what the current UP protocol is. But I needed something...also thinking strongly about mile markers, the signals should carry an identifier also...

Well, I guess liking the C4s depends on who you ask. Management apparently does for reasons I'm not sure of, but I'm sure they have good ones. On the other hand, the four engineers I know that work for BNSF, all dislike the model for its pulling characteristics.

BNSF likes them, engineers don't and as an engineer I can say they aren't as good as a six traction motor DC unit on a mountain grade. FVM should off left the gearing off the center axle so they could pull as poorly as the prototypes.

Fantastic scenery and photos! If you don't mind the asking, how do you make the right of way fencing?

That may be my favorite picture you have ever posted. Just something about the scene makes it look so real. Jamie

I upgraded my cellphone this week - we use Tracfone, a prepaid service - mainly because we carry the cell only rarely and use it very little.

But the surprise is that this $50 phone takes pretty good pictures - the first three were shot with the cell. I can get this puppy where the big camera can't go without the aid of mirrors...the last shot is with the old reliable Lumix DMC-FZ30.
