Great shots, Jim. Somehow I missed your posts a week ago with the overview shots. Not sure how you call you work area "messy", that is absolutely pristine compared to what I am used to. And keeping most of the floor completely empty, wow!

How high is the bottom of your fascia?

I also just saw the article - excellent coverage of an excellent layout, congratulations again! And thanks for the wide angle shots of the layout. You have a really nice train room, with the hardwood (or laminate?) floors and lots of natural light. Very nice!!

Yea, I made the mistake of showing pics of Jim's train room to my wife....she didn't realize it could be so clean!
    Nice job Jim!

Dave, those are laminate - with an extra layer of foam, real easy on the feet. It's worked out very well.

Jerry, Otto - I felt from the git-go that my modeling would be better, maybe more disciplined if I kept things clean. Everything is where it should be, and when I change what I'm working on it's easy to find what I need. And the fact that things are clean gives me incentive to go there more often - I never "put it off" because the place is a pig sty. And having piously said all that, I have to admit to being a bit of a neat freak. If you look in the dictionary, that's my wife's picture next to the definition....

    Thanks, guys!

So there's another mini project finished...

This is what you see when approaching the railroad area:

It's a complete foob, of course, but I think it adds a finishing touch.

Great work on the bridge across the doorway! Love the railroad embloms and welcome signs. I'm thinking of doing something along my facia also. I am going to put the name of the scene, like 'Pinole' and then the SP Milepost and ATSF Milepost. Along the other areas which will just be ATSF just the ATSF Milepost. :)

Nice low angle view. I always like how this perspective gives a feeling of real size to a scene.

Working on something around Caliente now that should be interesting...no pics until finished, though!
