She looks good!
Aaaaaaand.........here's this one. NS did a good job as usual, but sadly they didn't have much to work with. Nor did they really have to try very hard.
So it's brunswick green huh? Always thought it was rusty, faded, black.
Heck, I always thought it was just plain filthy.
Now, granted, I know Penn Central was a predecessor of NS, and is therefore a fallen-flag. However, for a lot of folks it reminds them of how bad railroading had gotten. The only black scheme more minimalistic than this one would be Norfolk & Western's. Also granted, they did a nice job of representing the PC paint scheme. And, there are actually some folks who are PC fans.
Still..............methinks I'll pass on this one. To each his/her own........
I loved the PC green boxcars. Never really saw PC locos here(too far south) lol. But I like the NS unit.
1072 Illinois Terminal is out. Another winner.
Yep, the 1072 more than makes up for the previous offering. Matches the 2nd-generation EMDs to a tee.
1074 Lackawanna released today.
This is the twentieth heritage loco.
Hey, Virginian! Thought you might like this one:
WOW. That IT green is really bright. Nobody even half awake can miss seeing that unit coming their way!
And last, but certainly not least:
How about this lash-up?
I MUST FOAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Lackawanna unit- That's a DL&W scheme? Or E-L?
WOW. What a dream display!
Man, that is just the cherry on top! The group photo goes beyond my expectations! Well done, NS!
EL scheme, one of the best merger paint schemes on the north east.
any word on these units being made in N scale???
Fox Valley Models has the GE's taken care of and Kato has the EMD's and they should be arriving in 2013.
