Today's Progress on the ACTRR

Here is the ice house mounted and you can see in relation to the caboose tracks.

Is the kit for the ice house difficult to build - and I am guessing it comes with material for a straight dock? It looks really good.

 

The Ice house is an easy kit and yes it comes with a real short straight platform.

Hi Guys , here is my latest structure. Nothing fancy. I did have to angle cut the shed and build a footer for the grain bin , as it will sit on a very slight slope.

Mike, can you tell us a little about the background scenery in these photos? I really like it. Is it painted, photographic, or a mix of one of those with 3-dimensional forms in front?

 

It is all three. Some is instant horrizons and some hand painted and there are 3D models and aprox. Z Scale models there. I even have some structures cut right out of the Walthers catalog as well as the C47 flying over Kachina.

Been Sick But

Robin and I have been sick with the flu for the last four days but on day two I was able to sit up at the bench and transform two Faller (houses under construction) into two buildings for the ghost town that will be where the old mine is in the center loop. The shed os done from cardboard and is about 3/4" tall.

Here is one more in the ghost town series I plan to plant. Done with wood cardboard and masking tape.

Todays Progress on the ACTRR

Mike I like the work you've done on the entire workout, but the trailers are really neat Southwest for sure, going to implement a trailer park on my AZ layout also. Keep up the great work:tb-cool:

Thanks to you all , of keeping me motivated. These seem to me to be harder than regular structures.
