Well , I got this done a couple of weeks ago but have been busy with a new toy (Post in non railroad). Got the ghost town done. Mike
Trailer Trash Well , I finally got around to putting the Trailers in place in Valle Rojo. Bet they get sick of all the dust from the gravel plant and the trains going by all the time. Oh well thats why the rent is low! Mike
I had a trailer like those once, and was working third shift at a Plastic plant, and sleeping during the day was about impossible because of the 10-15 kids yelling and playing in the trailer park.
Trailer Park Done The trailer park and it's details are complete. You will notice the TV antennas , Tires on the roofs , Fences , Kids and People , and of coarse the discontent workers of Fifer Unobtainium. Mike
Thanks Gary , I always intend to submit to publications but suck at writing and getting the pictures together! I also have almost all of the construction on video. Mike
This weekend I made some good progress on the ACT this weekend. I put in a supplimental refrigerated air conditioner (seen in the picture) as well as getting all the ballast done and some minor ground cover in Valle Rojo. Man I hate to ballast! Mike
Everybody hates to ballast. But it sure makes it look good after all the track clean up! I don't think I have ever gotten a whole layout ballasted before starting a new something or other that requires more trackage. Except Ntrak modules of course.
Mike - thanks so much for showing me your "work" - it is splendid. While most will favorably comment on the structures I must say you detail placements are real clever. They don't over shadow any structure, but they do give all of them life. Again - thanks for saring Toootshore
Thanks Guys , Glad you enjoy the progress. I keep an entire log of this layout as I have in the past , but this one involves many more pictures. Thanks Again , Mike
Todays Progress on the ACTRR Details, details , And more details. You've got em covered with great thought involved and it is reflected Mike. OUTSTANDING Thanks for sharing Mike
Here is what I have done , this long weekend. The 3 shacks are done from the Bar Mills Shack Pack and the dime is for size reference. The Oil Well is built from American Model Builbers Laser Kit 616 Glenwood No.2 Oil Derrick. It is about 4 1/4" High. It is a kit for the (not faint at heart) but comes out great with NO modeling mods. The details and pipe do not come in the kit. Mike
