I haven't done much posting here recently. I have posted most of these over on the N scale forum. So here goes. This is a view from inside my yard looking south: That big magenta card is my "ChromaKey" solution for dropping out the garage door. Here's a scene from the third deck, looking north. I'm just getting up there, so there's a lot of pink: Here's what kept me busy for a few nights--the renovation of the "Queen of the Fleet":
I like the fields, Pete. It looks like tobacco, to me. Looking forward to the roll-by, Colonel. I had a run-in with some paint stripper, so the engine had to be scrapped. The shop guys say they can rebuild it, but I don't know... Heh, heh, heh...
Wow, Some really nice pic's so far. I have been posting a few in the Milw. Road section thought I would throw one in here! Baldwin S12 at the diesel pump fillin' up
Thanks Flash, Its a pic of the engine house and repair facilities in my prototype yard, Portage Wis. I have been putting a lot of pics up in the fallen flag section and a few guys said I should put some on here so more folks can see! Thanks again!
Repainted and decaled two MDC MEC gons this week. After repainting them and looking them over they sit really high, so out comes Mr. Dremel and proceeded to lower them. Ground the bolsters down and body mounted the couplers, also ground the floor for wheel clearance. Had to grind the screw head that holds the coupler on almost all the way off to clear the axle shaft. Hope I never have to replace the coupler, also used a little glue to keep the coupler from box from turning. Replaced the MT trucks with some Accumate trucks I cut the couplers off and put some LO Pro wheelsets I had kicking around. Still need to dullcote them but ran out of dullcote. Here's a photo showing the different heights.
Hi, all, Been busy lately what with O Scale West last weekend (2/2-4/06) and in the middle of San Francisco Bay Area LDSIG/OPs this weekend (2/11-12/06). Here's a couple of photos. On my layout, N scale Santa Fe PA1s, A-B-B-A. These are from the Kato 1998 run: And from last weekend's from O Scale West, on the On30 Yosemite Short Line modular layout. A beautiful example of modeling. More shots of this layout to come. Enjoy, all (smile!).

I installed 2 Digitrax decoders into a couple IM tunnel motors, and prepared them for helper service on SAR... More to come... In other news, I have made a new layout design, something that can be built in a small bedrrom, in case of a no-basement home...
