...I finally finished an Atlas EMD GP40-2 I've started with long, long time ago in a country fare away ! some colors, some "home brew" decals, some chalk, some detail parts and voila... (klick on the picture to get a bigger one...)
Great looking stuff everyone. It's great to see Bob's stuff posted. I have only two cars from Bob + a Sun N Sand stock car that now have an increased sentimental value. The Grand Canyon National Park boxcar fits well with my GCRR and "Smokey" forest fire prevention genre. Proof that one man's fantasy scheme is another man's fiction... ... or something like that. Thanx again Bob, I will think of you when I run these.
Well the crew down at the body shop have gotten a little sidetracked by their new buddy Max. The shop's not big enough for a truck this size. Looks like some fans are doing the work while Dick and Ed chew the fat with Max. The Con Cor tanker has been highly modified to 3 axles before armoring. The entire rear boggie is completely custom built. Still needs spikes on top ramparts, decal stripes, rear platform, barbed wire along the sides, etc... The cab started as resin Ford (garbage truck). With a dremel I hollowed out the windows and interior. To make it look more like a MACK I modified the hood shape, front fenders, windshield pillars, and extended the visor. Rear axles, rear fenders, frame, and compressor tank are scratch built. Many, many things left to do on the truck before painting it green. Dick is the original owner of the body shop (Bachmann ring a bell) in the orange shirt and green pants. When Crazy Ed (tan & brown) invested they changed the name to Coconino Auto Body. Max (blue T shirt) is the local madman.
In memory of Bob I dedicate this pic to him as it was he who found this Mopac caboose on ebay for me.

Tom, I love that Swift car! I finished three gons and redid about 2 square feet of grasses: Really inspiring work shown here folks!
I took this picture of my recently completed coal mine project and fellow model railroader Jim Six added smoke and steam and converted it to B&W with Photoshop.
I actually did something train related this weekend. I spent almost all saturday chasing MRL's new SD70ACes. Here are a couple of pics. There's more in my railimages album.
Jeff, NICE!!! That is one realistic looking scene. I thought that I was looking at an historical RR book photograph!
Good pictures from everyone. Coaltrain, that is one nice scene. Tom, Your pictures are always, sharp, clear and well composed.
Marshall, Awesome stuff! The Mullan Tunnel stuff was especially nice. When I get to Great Falls in January, could you take me there sometime? Nice vids, too. Too bad there's no sound! This one's great! Please tell me they wash these more often than UP does? They are SHARP in that scheme!
