I do not remember what year the 4449 went to New Orleans. Here's my version with 4451 and an SD-45 helper. Here they are passing through the oil patch. Must be in New Mexico as you can see the cliff dwelling ruins in background. Love those Daylights and Black Widows.
One more for this week. The Season is rapidly approaching ,ho,ho,ho. Well I most likely will not see any of the white stuff
Russell Cool shot of the loco peeking out! Paul Those Rock Island units are awesome! Mike Cool shots! I really like the bridge in the second one! Flash Nice shots! Nice AD&N boxcar! The football game for tomorrow morning was canceled and after being in the rain for today’s game I don’t mind. I was going to do something tonight but with all the rain we got some water in the basement. Not much but I had to deal with it. No damage as everything was off the floor just in case.
Here are a few shots taken of my engine yard and 4 of my custom painted locomotives. Credits for the photography to Patrick Buchanan.
Tom- I see we have a rust aficianado (I checked the spelling). Here is a shot of the same from the side before finishing the rest of the scene and the water pour with FAMOWOOD. Oil based pastel here and there before air brushing, dark umber or something similiar, just for the texture.
Russel thank you, the owner of the "Somewhere West" layout is Daniel Roth of Strasbourg,France. He built this fantastic modelrailroad with the help of Lucien Wiss, one of the best layout builder in Europe. Stefan My Gallery
SNFF 2005 10 9 Great shots, as usual, everybody. I'll second the congrats on the shots by Stefan. For me, two shots of the Kato Unitrack ballasting in progress - here, doing turnouts: Yes, it takes quite a while to do these carefully. In the end, worth it. Take care, all!
John: You did a great job on the turnouts especially in the area of moving parts. Stay cool and run steam.........
John: Here is a closer view of the ballasting between the ties on the Unitrack of the JJJ&E. The rail was painted a mineral red color with some rust added and the ties were individually painted a railtie brown: A closeup of an old boat ravaged by time at the FishPier on the JJJ&E: Local color on the FishPier and in the surrounding river basin: Stay cool and run steam..... Mark: Now you proceed full steam ahead and plan your Unitrack addition. Make sure you paint all the Unitrack before it's fixed in place. Have fun.... Stay cool and run steam........
mark: The magnets can be installed in the roadbed after the Unitrack is laid down without problems. It's just as easy to do beforehand after everything is painted. Stay cool and run steam.....
