Tough to follow Wolfgang. Excellent picture and excellent focus, too. Wolfgang, I like your videos, BTW. Here is my before: After: SSW B36-7B from an Atlas N scale high hood B23-7 shell and mechanism. (Complete shell 15 US$ from Atlas.)The handrails are Gold Medal Models only at the cab area; the rest is stock Atlas. They look about the same, to me. Very nice handrail modeling by Atlas! A quote from Richard Percy's Espee Modeler's Homepage: "#7771 is the most well known of the quartet (of B36-7s). In April of 1981 it was involved in a head-on collision near Moscow on the Lufkin Branch in Texas. Shipped off to Taylor Shops in Los Angeles, #7771 was slowly rebuilt as a cabless B-unit. Although it looks very similar to BN's cabless units, the sheetmetal was scratchbuilt." Prototype Photo (with advertisements) [ February 25, 2006, 07:00 AM: Message edited by: Flash Blackman ]
Hey, Nice shot Wolfgang. Great job Flash,I love that. The weeds growing out of whats left of the cab was genius.
I agree with others, Wolfgang, great picture. Everyones is great. Here are few from me, finished the Icehouse and added a few details. I am kinda stuck working on the yard until I get my foam so I can fill in the rest of the voids in the layout. And boy, do I need a backdrop, doing this Photoshop background gets to be a pain. A few of the tower, oh, I added some employees to
Hi, Everyones work is great. I spend a movie. But be aware, it will be a nightmare for dial up users I`m sorry. Stefan My Gallery
Thank you Paul. Yes, the steamers have installed DCC decoders. UP 844 is a Walthers (Rivarossi) model with the new Soundtraxx Tsunami decoder and the 3985 is from Athearn Genesis with a factory installed sound decoder. The cars are all from Walthers (Rivarossi). Stefan
Chad: Very nice photo's of your yard. I had that 57' Chevy in a Bel_air convertible with the spare tire on the rear bumper . The color was salmon with gray side panels on the rear fenders. That was some car. Stay cool and run steam...
Hi, all, My contributions this week are some photos from the O Scale West convention Feb 3-4 in Santa Clara, CA. A beautiful sawmill on the On30 modular layout, the Yosemite Short Line, by Ron Kolos (his last name is actually longer, but he goes by that shorter name at shows): And then on the layout tours, Gary Schrader's remarkable O scale models on his layout built for displaying and running them. Gary rebuilds and tunes his O scale brass imports to a beautiful level. Here's Santa Fe Alco PA1s (I had to get my Warbonnet fix in): Here you can see some of his weathered and detailed freight car fleet in the background: And here's a shot of his roundhouse with a portion of his large O scale fleet in view: Enjoy, all!
A foobie caboose hop. I can't match the excellent photos of you guys, someday I'll figure out this camera. The unscenicked and bare RR goes on though, afraid to do anymore as I rent. Anyhow an SW7 w/ foobie calf plus Athearn foobie cabooses, I have no other choice right now, I have one unbuilt Wright Trak and waiting for more. The SW7/calf was an auction site purchase don't know if the Central used the large lettering on them or not, but am thinking of putting a cigar herald on the calf plus sill stripe and number on side, it has a number on the end. Anyhow here's my somewhat poor contribution. You guys are doing excellent work, thanks for sharing.
Keith: The staging area is starting to take shape. How long is that section in that part of the layout? How much track are you going to use for the staging area? Stay cool and run steam.....
