Thanks Bob. The two staging tracks are 7' and 6'. They hold a locomotive and 7 to 8 50' cars. I think I may add two more single ended tracks behind the two double ended tracks. Keith
There are a bunch of pictures in the N Scale forum of the World's Greatest Hobby train show that was held in Saint Paul, MN this weekend. http://www.trainboard.com/ultimatebb.php/ubb/get_topic/f/9/t/007874.html
Bob, I always liked the 57' BelAir. When I saw it at my LHS just had to get it. That's one thing I like about not sticking with a fix time frame with the railroad. I get to mix things up a bit.
Here's my N scale contribution for the week. Got the three GP7 Zebra's weathered and snapped off a quick shot of them running a reefer train thru Glendale, Arizona: Have a good week, all.
Just decided to add a little color to my BN roster. This unit will be used for pool power and an occational UP run through. I added a fire cracker, sun shades, bell and air lines. Unit was weathered with some washes and an air brush.
Wolfgang Awesome shot! Flash Great scene with the derelict and cool looking B-unit! Mike Nice looking locos! Paul Great shots! Bob Cool photos! Chad Terrific shots! I really like the third one with the car in it! John Sing Great shots of the layouts! Great shot of the GP7s! Brian Cool cabooses! Loco1999 Looking good! Tony Nice loco!
Here is a little something different for me: a passenger train passing the passenger station! The rst can be seen in the Weekend Roll-by topic.
Stefan: WOW! I kept expecting to see steam jets and smoke plumes coming from those steamer! Great job on the models AND the video. To all who posted pics: Thanks for sharing a LOT of great work. I'm about to start my scenery and the photos are fantastic inspiration!
Thanks everyone for posting your photos. Although I did not have anything this week I had fun checking out what everyone else shared.
A little late reporting – here’s the culmination of a few months’ work: storage cassettes that double as portable staging yards. If anyone is interested, the thread that shows more detail is here: http://www.trainboard.com/ultimatebb.php/ubb/get_topic/f/9/t/007911/p/1.html#000003
This question may seem too obvious or maybe even stupid, but how do you move the cassettes without the rolling stock rolling and/or tipping off the tracks? Ever had any close calls? Thanks! Errr, ummm, nevermind as I just read your post in the N forum [ February 28, 2006, 08:22 AM: Message edited by: moose ]
