Well, decided to try my hand at some HO scale scenery. Since the engine house was done I worked on that area. And the little engines are happy now to have a home. Sure is different working in HO. The mistakes really show up.
i was just wondering around this HUGE forum and just happened to stumble onto this thread, WOW!!, sure glad i did! you guys have done some AWESOME work! i have seen some VERY inspirational stuff on this thread. thanks for sharing & PLEASE keep em coming. thanks, -Deano
Had a productive week last week on the layout. We got 6 Tortice swith machines installed and wired up which made the two passing sidings usable. Also wired up six more blocks to the detection boards. Well Weekend roll-by inspired me to do a little scenery work on the end of the peninsula. Cut out some of my carved rocks and cast some new rocks from some molds I picked up at Springfield last week and installed them. Then picked up three colors of ground foam and forrested the hillside. Some make believe Amtrak action, on my giant module that never changes: Just two more years and I can vacate my 12ft square box that I live in, and build the rest of the layout.

Here are my LNE RS-2 road switchers on the point of cement train. The run-by can be seen it’s entirety in the Weekend Roll-by Topic. Since I know a few folks like this gondola here is another shot.
Tom: I really like the weathering on the gondola. What color did you use for the rust effect? Stay cool and run steam.....
