Nice shot, Martyn! You may be interested to know that this and the other three original GP38s are now in operation on the Kiamichi RR. The 1977 became KRR 3814, in burgundy with white nose stripes, lettering, and war shield logo on the cab side. If it isn't on Kiamichi, it's somewhere on the RailAmerica system.

I'm into the FREMO idea, which is based on a module standard. We meet twice every year and erect a layout just for the weekend. Then we run a scheduled operation based on the norwegian railway in the sixties, cars and all. It's run on a fast clock. Great fun.

The modeling is not mine as the owner of each module does the whole shebang himself.
    Scale is H0.

Bob, thanks for the info, I knew this was no longer a UP loco (but it had bounced on and off their roster for a bit!) but didn't know where it had got to since UP.

Any photo's around of it in Kiamachi colours? Oh, it's HO scale modelling BTW, loco is factory painted Atlas with some minor detail painting to liven it up a bit.

Jon, that's excellent stuff, I'm quite impressed by the realism the Freemo 'standards' let you build into models, there are a couple of great looking Freemo setups from the South Western part of the US, well worth browsing through their pics.

Someone is really into their vehicle modelling as well, like the 2CV. [IMG]
