I believe I know what you speak of but, she's not clear in the picture. Nor if I would have had to stand around and contemplated the approach. I'ld just start with a smile.
But of course I'ld have been just a baby back then. So, it would have been much easier than now.

Having been one of the males Candy has modeled, I would have bragged with extreme bravado to my friends. However, even the thought of approaching the young lady on the bench would have tightened my pucker-string to an extreme level of pain. That's why our schools and parents organized activities like sock hops and park picnics where we felt safe talking with girls without being teased. That was how we grew up in the late 40's, early 50's, and how it was done.

I'm sorry about the image. I just got done transfer stuff from an old confuser and didn't remember that as being that way. I tried deleting it but it wouldn't work. I was know as quit a flirt until for 5th grade the Catholic school got rebuilt and I got back to a better education. We also lived out on a farm and all I had was 11 brothers.
That's when I converted over to watching trains.

Weekend progress on the N-Scale Housatonic RR. Making the most of a few fragmented hours, over the weekend, I made some more progress after the two layer epoxy pour, by adding ground cover and vegetation along the Housatonic River scene on my layout. I still need to add surface ripples, ballast the bridge approaches and add a small marina to complete this New Milford, CT scene. This will hold me for now though.
Edit: In looking at the last photo, I need to slide the 3 bridge unit a bit to the right to center the bridge shoes on the piers. I just placed it on the piers for the photo. [IMG]

I agree. The water reflections look very real. I feel I'm actually there.

Little late (or early?) for the weekend fun but this was a cool shot with one of my paintings in the background, so thought I'd share here!

*edit That photo really makes me want to add the missing wipers, sunshades, step bars, sand filler caps, top numbers, and plow... :D

Candy, you would have been the Queen of Sheba. Had you been the oldest, you would have ruled. Had you been the youngest, you would have been spoiled rotten, Anywhere in the middle, you would have divided them, then sat back watching the two sides battle, loving every minute. Girls were sly, mean, and conniving. :cautious:
