It's a little early today but I will be away from the internet for most of the day. So here is one to kick things off. I am looking forward to seeing what you folks have to show. Post away.

In order to have just one track running along the front of my Richmond, Texas NTRAK modules I ran the yellow and blue line around behind a view block of trees to hide them. Here you see them in the foreground and the town peaking out behind the trees.

    A great start. Nice work.

Russ - great shot. I really like that scene.

I got to test out the new yard since it was reconstructed. Everything works great and I got to fill it up with the most traffic my layout has ever seen.

    been working on 3 units.

    Left to right.

P2K GP30 Santa Fe #3223. This one is getting the most work done out of the three, I'm moving the horn to the side of the cab, moving the A/C unit forward, installing the cab antenna when it gets here, and I still need to paint and install the speed recorder on this one.
Has a Digitrax DH123D coming for it, and it could possibly get a roof beacon

Athearn RTR GP35 #3306. this unit already has all the detail that will be going into it, Cab A/C, Beacon, and speed recorder. the only plans for this one at the time is to get DCC in it and weather it

Atlas Classic series GP7 #2672. I started scratchbuilding the antenna platform for this one last night, that will be applied when its done. I'm also going to add a beacon eventually. Not-proto but I love beacons. Decoder for this one on the way as well.

Russell, your photo passes for a belated April Fools joke. It could be a real-world photo you have slipped into a model forum. REALLY NICE!

Nice Russell. Looks snakey in there. That flat country backdrop looks like Houston or a Louisiana bayou.

Pete, I had hoped that my comment would be taken as a tongue-in-cheek one. I was being facetious, and I thought highly complimentary. Russell's image is so realistic as to be taken as an April Fool's joke real world photo submitted for that of a model.

I guess you had to be there....

I am sorry if I caused any offense.:foot-in-mouth: I'll modify my text in the quoted post, hopefully as an improvement with more clarity.

Hi, all, (I know I'm posting this in multiple places, but we hope everyone will enjoy
seeing all the activity that's happening).

You can see and follow the 2010 NMRA National Convention as it happens on the internet. One of the ones providing feeds is the X2011 West NMRA National Convention committee's Facebook page, which you can see regardless if you are Facebook member or not.

Check it out and see and follow what's happening at today's NMRA 75th Anniversary National Train Show, as well as during the past week. Just click here to see the X2011 West Facebook page:

Check out the huge brass Big Boy! (if you like what you see, please "Like" the X2011 West NMRA 2011 Convention Facebook page :)).

In addition to the train show, check out the other photos from the Nationals
also. Some examples of photos that are there:

Nice trackwork from Tim Warris. I see that he still has to complete the crossing at lower left, or so my impression is from what I can see. Amazing.

    I have a B&W this weekend.

No offence taken here. Thanks for the complement. Actually the sky and horizon are real world. There is even the real moon in the sky.

Thanks for posting the cool black and white photo. I am at present visiting relatives in Roanoke,VA. I may have to swing by the Museum of Transportation to see some real world N&W equipment like in your photo.;)
