Actually, that is the way the prototype is built. There is a removable section that is installed when the loco needs to get to the shed.
A few more from the HO layout.... The corner grocery store is having it's grand opening this weekend..... ...and the shelves are stocked, ready for customers. The exterior still need some lights. Lighting on the construction company siding The LED in the welders hand is powered by the wire laying on the floor and is driven by an arc light simulator.
Finally got something done. This is the 'de-skirting' and repainting/decaling of a Kato 10-6 sleeper over to early Phase 1 Amtrak. This is as close to as I can come to the pullman I rode in in July 1972, and yes, it was freshly striped. Also painted (black wash) and weathered (chalks) the underframe, added blinds, etc. This is the car, and the spot, that started all this when I stepped off the platform and looked around. But what got me motivated to do this was the outrageous success of putting in the Rapido/MT "Easy Peasy" lighting kits. Same car, lights out: I got all nine cars done this weekend. What a product!
My bad. I missed the April Fool's reference, and therefore misread the intent. I thought you were perhaps referring to something else. Again, my bad.
Think nothing of it. I went back and had a dispassionate look at my tone and felt that it could have been better from the outset...poor phraseology on my part. Ah well, live and learn.
Aaawww the sweet old gal, she has a special place in my heart, see I run 4 of the 4-6-0 like her on the DAV&P, so its always great to see old No. 40. Thanks… J
With Bachmann's N Scale Ten Wheeler announced your photos make me want one even more! As always, the work here is amazing. Reminds me that I need to get working on my layout again.
No one is more guilty than I of poor phraseology. I astound myself at my ability to misinterpret stuff. All we can do is try.
